What is offsetting?
Offsetting is a way to take action by supporting green projects that reduce greenhouse emissions.
What are greenhouse gases?
Greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (C02), methane and water vapor are gases found naturally in the atmosphere, that cause the greenhouse effect, an effect which warms the Earth’s surface. Without those gases, the average temperature of the Earth surface would be about -18°C. But human activity increases greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere, resulting in temperature changes that are too fast to give our species time to adapt.
